Support

Write to appdev8661@gmail.com. Please mention your iOS version and what you were doing when something went wrong — it makes fixes much faster.

Moving in from another tracker

More → Backup → Import CSV. Kept reads the CSV layout used by Spent: semicolon-separated columns Date; Transaction Type; Account; Code; Amount; Source Account; Source Code; Source Amount; Category; Tags; Note. Missing accounts, categories and tags are created automatically. Importing the same file twice adds the entries twice, so import once.

Card payments from Apple Pay

Open Shortcuts → Automation → New Automation, choose Wallet (called Transaction before iOS 26), pick your cards and turn on Run Immediately. Add the Kept action Log card payment and set each field — Amount, Merchant, Card — to the matching property of the shortcut input. Payments then appear in Kept as pending entries; confirm them with a tap. More → How to use Kept shows the last calls, so you can see what arrived. Pay with the iPhone itself: payments made with Apple Watch do not trigger the iPhone automation.

Apple Watch

Install Kept on the watch from the Watch app on your iPhone. Entries added on the watch go to the pending list on the iPhone. Add the Kept complication to a watch face to see today's spending at a glance.

Siri, Shortcuts and Control Center

Say “Add expense in Kept”, or add the Kept actions in Shortcuts. The new entry button can be added to Control Center from its edit mode.

Backups

More → Backup → Create a backup produces a .mbk file with every entry, account, category, tag, budget, rule and receipt. Keep it somewhere safe; restoring it replaces the current contents of the app. You can also open a backup straight from Files, Mail or AirDrop. Before any restore, import or erase, Kept saves an automatic copy — the last 10 are listed under Previous versions.

iCloud sync

More → Sync. It is off by default. Turning it on or off takes effect the next time the app starts. Sync uses your own private iCloud database, so all devices must be signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive enabled.

Passcode and Face ID

More → Passcode. You can choose how soon the lock kicks in after leaving the app. If biometrics are unavailable, the app asks for your device passcode.

Exchange rates

More → Exchange rates → Refresh from the server pulls the current table from the National Bank of Ukraine. A rate is stored with the entry at the moment you save it, so old reports do not change when rates move. You can also add a rate by hand.

Languages

Kept follows your iPhone language: English, Ukrainian, Russian and German are supported. Change it in iOS Settings → Kept → Language.

Deleting your data

More → Backup → Erase all data wipes everything in the app. Deleting the app removes its local data as well; if iCloud sync was on, also remove the app's data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud.
