Pinea (“the App”) is a menu-bar launcher for macOS developed by Yevhenii Mahlena (“we”, “us”). We respect your privacy. This policy explains what the App does and does not do with your information.
The App does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no user accounts.
The items you pin (apps, files, folders, links), their names, ordering, and your preferences (theme, launch-at-login, keyboard shortcut) are stored only on your device, inside the App’s sandbox container. This data never leaves your Mac and is never sent to us or any third party.
The App accesses only the files, folders, and applications you explicitly add (via the file picker or drag-and-drop), and only to display their icon and open them at your request. It uses macOS security-scoped bookmarks and does not read file contents.
When you launch a pinned item, the App asks macOS to open it (for example, your default browser for a web link). We do not process, log, or transmit these actions.
The App does not contact our servers (we have none) and includes no third-party SDKs.
The App is safe for all ages and collects no data from anyone.
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will reflect changes.
